5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

The V-Beat Air Guitar requires batteries (not included) for operation.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the main body unit.
  2. Using a screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the required number and type of batteries (e.g., AA or AAA, check compartment markings) according to the polarity indicators (+/-).
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

5.2 Assembly

The V-Beat Air Guitar comes in two main parts, the body and the neck, connected by a cable. No further assembly is typically required beyond connecting the cable if it was detached for packaging, or simply ensuring the cable is not tangled.

6. Operating Instructions

The V-Beat Air Guitar uses motion sensing to simulate guitar playing. The plectrum (pick) inside the body unit detects downward striking motions, while the neck buttons control notes.

6.1 Basic Play

  1. Power On: Locate the power switch on the body unit and slide it to the "ON" position.
  2. Hold the Guitar: Hold the body unit as you would a regular guitar body, and the neck unit in your other hand.
  3. Select Notes/Chords: Press combinations of the four buttons on the neck unit to select different notes or chords. Experiment with single presses and multiple presses.
  4. Strum: Make a downward striking motion with the body unit, simulating strumming guitar strings. The internal sensor will detect this motion and play the selected note/chord. You do not need to physically strum between the body and neck; the motion of the body unit is sufficient.
  5. Varying Sound: The distance between the neck and body units can influence the sound, allowing for pitch bending or other effects.

To play along with your favorite music:

  1. Locate the MP3 input jack on the V-Beat Air Guitar body unit.
  2. Connect one end of a standard 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the MP3 input jack.
  3. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or line-out port of your MP3 player or other audio device.
  4. Adjust the volume on both your MP3 player and the V-Beat Air Guitar for a balanced sound.
