5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your JVC HARX700 headphones:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the headphones and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Connect to Audio Source:
    • For devices with a 3.5mm audio jack (e.g., smartphones, laptops, portable music players), directly insert the headphone's 3.5mm plug into the device's audio output jack.
    • For devices with a 6.3mm audio jack (e.g., home audio receivers, guitar amplifiers, studio equipment), attach the included 6.3mm adapter to the headphone's 3.5mm plug, then insert the adapter into the device's 6.3mm audio output jack.
  3. Adjust Fit: Place the headphones over your ears. Adjust the headband length on both sides until the ear cups comfortably cover your ears and the head pad rests gently on your head. The ear cups should form a seal around your ears for optimal sound and comfort.

6. Operating the Headphones

Once connected, operating your JVC HARX700 headphones is straightforward:

  1. Power On Audio Source: Ensure your audio source device is powered on and playing audio.
  2. Volume Control: Adjust the volume directly on your connected audio source device. The HARX700 headphones do not have integrated volume controls.
  3. Listening: Enjoy your audio. The over-ear design provides passive noise isolation, reducing external distractions.

7. Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and performance of your headphones:

  • Cleaning Ear Pads: Gently wipe the ear pads with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If necessary, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, but ensure the pads are completely dry before use. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Cleaning Headband: Wipe the headband and mesh pad with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Cable Care: Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling on the cable. When storing, coil the cable loosely.
  • Storage: Store the headphones in a clean, dry environment. Avoid placing heavy objects on them.
