Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present: the base tray, the transparent lid, and the filter unit (pre-installed or separate).
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the base tray and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Do not immerse the filter unit in water; wipe it clean with a damp cloth if necessary.
  3. Filter Check: Verify that the micro-porous filter is correctly seated in the lid's designated compartment. The filter replacement dial should be visible and rotatable.
  4. Assembly: Place the lid securely onto the base tray. The preserver is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Cheese: For best results, place cheese directly into the preserver without any additional packaging (e.g., plastic wrap or foil). This allows the filter system to work effectively.
  2. Load Preserver: Arrange your cheeses on the base tray. Ensure there is adequate space for air circulation around the cheeses.
  3. Close Lid: Place the transparent lid firmly onto the base tray, ensuring a good seal.
  4. Set Filter Dial: The filter replacement dial on the lid helps you remember when to change the filter. Rotate the dial to indicate the current month or the month the filter was installed.
  5. Storage: Store the cheese preserver in your refrigerator. The integrated filter will regulate humidity and manage odors.

Note: Some condensation inside the preserver is normal and indicates the humidity regulation system is functioning. Excessive condensation may suggest the filter needs replacement or the cheese is too moist.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Hand Wash Only: The base tray and lid should be hand washed with warm, soapy water.
  • Rinse and Dry: Rinse all parts thoroughly and dry completely before reassembly or storage.
  • Filter Unit: Do not submerge the filter unit in water. Wipe the exterior of the lid and filter area with a damp cloth.
  • Dishwasher/Microwave: This product is not dishwasher safe and not microwave safe.

Filter Replacement

  • The micro-porous filter contains activated carbon and should be replaced periodically to ensure optimal performance in humidity regulation and odor control.
  • Refer to the filter replacement dial on the lid to track when a replacement is due.
  • Replacement filters are available separately. Consult the manufacturer's website or authorized retailers for compatible filters.
  • To replace the filter, carefully remove the old filter from its compartment in the lid and insert a new one, ensuring it is seated correctly.
