4. Setup
4.1 Initial Assembly
- Unpack all components and verify against the Components Overview section.
- Ensure all hose clamps are securely tightened before first use. The manufacturer may only snug them for shipping.
- Connect the 15-foot hose to the pump outlet and the spray gun.
- Connect the 9-foot lead wire to the 12V diaphragm pump.
4.2 Mounting the Sprayer
The sprayer is designed for easy installation. It can be placed on a flat surface or permanently mounted to an ATV using the six molded inserts on the bottom of the tank. An optional ATV mounting kit is available for secure attachment.

4.3 Filling the Tank
- Unscrew the 5-inch cap located on top of the tank.
- Pour the desired liquid into the tank. The molded gallon marks on the tank provide clear volume indications.
- Securely screw the cap back on to prevent leaks.
- Recommendation: Always fill with clear water first and check for leaks before adding chemicals. Using a screen filter and funnel during filling can help prevent clogs.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power Connection
- Connect the alligator clips of the 9-foot lead wire to a 12V battery. Ensure correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative).
- Flip the on/off switch on the lead wire to the "ON" position to activate the pump.
5.2 Adjusting Pressure
The sprayer features an adjustable pressure range from 0 to 60 PSI. Use the pressure adjustment knob located near the pump and gauge to set the desired pressure for your application. Monitor the pressure gauge for accurate calibration.
5.3 Spraying
- Once the pump is active and pressure is set, aim the 18-inch aluminum spray gun at the target area.
- Squeeze the trigger to begin spraying. Use the trigger lock for continuous operation.
- The handgun provides a maximum vertical throw of 26 feet and a maximum horizontal throw of 35 feet.
- For larger areas, consider using an optional five-nozzle boom kit (sold separately) which provides a 100-inch swath.
6. Maintenance
6.1 After Each Use
- Flush the System: After each use, especially when spraying chemicals, thoroughly flush the tank, pump, and hose with clean water. Run clean water through the spray gun until it runs clear.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe down the exterior of the tank and components to remove any chemical residue.
- Drain Tank: Ensure the tank is completely drained to prevent residue buildup or freezing in cold weather.
6.2 Seasonal Maintenance / Winterization
- Drain Completely: For winter storage, ensure all water is drained from the tank, pump, and hoses.
- Protect Pump: Loosen screws on the pump diaphragm and at the pressure switch to allow any trapped water to escape. This prevents damage from freezing.
- Store Properly: Store the sprayer in a dry, protected area away from extreme temperatures.
6.3 General Tips
- Regularly inspect hoses, connections, and the spray gun for any signs of wear, cracks, or leaks. Replace damaged parts immediately.
- Keep the pump clean and free of debris.
