2. Safety Instructions

  • Do not use the filter with hot water (above 40°C / 104°F).
  • Only use the filter with potable tap water.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not expose the pitcher to direct sunlight for extended periods.
  • Ensure all components are clean before first use and after each filter change.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
  2. Wash Pitcher and Lid: Wash the pitcher and lid with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly with cold water. Do not wash the filter cartridge.
  3. Prepare Filter Cartridge: Remove the new filter cartridge from its protective packaging. Submerge the filter in cold water for approximately 15 minutes to remove any air bubbles.
  4. Insert Filter: Firmly insert the prepared filter cartridge into the funnel opening of the pitcher. Ensure it is seated securely to prevent unfiltered water from bypassing the filter.
  5. Initial Filtration: Fill the pitcher with tap water. Allow the water to filter through. Discard the first two filtered batches of water. This primes the filter and removes any loose carbon particles.
  6. Set Date Indicator: Locate the manual date indicator on the lid. Rotate the dial to set the current month, and then rotate the inner dial to set the day. This will help you track when to replace the filter (typically every 4 weeks or after filtering 100 liters, whichever comes first).

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Filling the Pitcher: Open the filling flap on the lid. Place the pitcher under a cold water tap and fill the upper reservoir with tap water. The design allows for filling without removing the entire lid.

  3. Filtration Process: Allow the water to slowly pass through the filter cartridge into the main pitcher reservoir. This process may take a few minutes depending on the water volume.
  4. Pouring Filtered Water: Once the water has filtered, you can pour it directly from the pitcher. The lid is designed to prevent unfiltered water from mixing with filtered water during pouring.

5. Maintenance

Regular Cleaning:

  • Wash the pitcher and lid regularly with mild detergent and warm water.
  • Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
  • The pitcher and lid are generally dishwasher safe (top rack recommended), but avoid high-temperature cycles to preserve the plastic.
  • Do not wash the filter cartridge.

Filter Replacement:

The filter cartridge should be replaced approximately every 4 weeks or after filtering 100 liters of water, whichever comes first. The date indicator on the lid serves as a reminder.

  1. Remove the old filter cartridge by gently pulling it upwards from the funnel.
  2. Discard the used filter responsibly.
  3. Prepare a new filter cartridge as described in the Setup section (Step 3).
  4. Insert the new filter firmly into the funnel.
  5. Perform the initial filtration steps (discarding the first two batches of water) as described in the Setup section (Step 5).
  6. Reset the date indicator on the lid to the current month and day.
