Setup
1. Initial Charging
- Before first use, fully charge the battery. Connect the charging cable to the adapter, and then plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.
- Connect the charging cable to the charging port on the vacuum cleaner.
- Allow the unit to charge until the charging indicator light (if present) indicates a full charge. This typically takes several hours.
2. Filter Installation
- Ensure the vacuum cleaner is turned off.
- Open the dust container according to the instructions in the maintenance section.
- Insert the polyester filter securely into its designated position. Ensure it is properly seated to prevent dust from entering the motor.
- Close the dust container until it clicks into place.
3. Attaching Accessories
Select the appropriate attachment for your cleaning task:
- Flexible Hose: Connect the hose to the suction inlet for extended reach.
- Upholstery Tool: Attach to the hose or directly to the suction inlet for cleaning fabric surfaces.
- Crevice Tool: Attach to the hose or directly to the suction inlet for reaching narrow gaps and corners.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
- To turn on the vacuum cleaner, press the power button located on the unit.
- To turn off the vacuum cleaner, press the power button again.
2. Dry Vacuuming
- Ensure the polyester filter is clean and correctly installed.
- Select the appropriate attachment for the surface you are cleaning.
- Turn on the vacuum cleaner and move the nozzle over the area to be cleaned.
- Empty the dust container regularly to maintain optimal suction power.
3. Wet Vacuuming (Liquid Spills)
- For wet vacuuming, ensure the polyester filter is removed or replaced with a suitable wet filter (if available and recommended by the manufacturer). The provided polyester filter is generally suitable for both wet and dry, but check for saturation.
- Do not vacuum large quantities of liquid that could overflow the dust container. The capacity is 1.5 liters.
- After vacuuming liquids, empty the container immediately and clean it thoroughly to prevent odors and mold growth.
- Allow all components to air dry completely before reassembling.
4. Battery Runtime
A fully charged battery provides approximately 18 minutes of continuous operation. Actual runtime may vary based on usage and battery condition.
Maintenance
1. Emptying the Dust Container
- Turn off the vacuum cleaner.
- Locate the release latches or buttons for the dust container.
- Detach the dust container from the main unit.
- Empty the contents into a waste bin.
2. Cleaning the Filter
- Remove the filter from the dust container.
- For dry debris, gently tap the filter to dislodge dust. You can also use a soft brush.
- For thorough cleaning, the polyester filter can be rinsed under running water. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinserting it into the vacuum cleaner. Do not use the vacuum cleaner with a wet filter.
3. Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
4. Storage
Store the Dometic WAECO PowerVac PV 100 in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is partially charged before long-term storage.
