Setup and Installation

Before Installation:

Basic Installation Steps (Refer to PDF for full details):

1. Affix the cutting template to your door at the desired height.
2. Carefully cut the opening in your door using a jigsaw.
3. Assemble the inner and outer frames of the pet door around the opening.
4. Secure the frames with the provided screws. Ensure the door is level for proper operation.
5. Install 4 D-Cell Batteries (not included) into the battery compartment.

Operating Instructions

The PetSafe Electronic Smart Pet Door features programmable modes and uses an Electronic Pet Door Key to grant access.

Electronic Pet Door Key:

One Electronic Pet Door Key is included. This key attaches to your pet's collar and is detected by the pet door, allowing it to unlock. The door permits only those pets wearing the key to enter or exit.

The system can be programmed for up to 5 Electronic Pet Door Keys, allowing multiple pets to use the door. Additional keys are sold separately.

Programmable Modes:

The pet door offers three programmable modes to control access:

• Locked: The door remains locked and will not open for any pet, regardless of the key.
• Unlocked: The door remains unlocked and can be used by any pet or person.
• Automatic: The door will only unlock when it detects a programmed Electronic Pet Door Key. It automatically locks after the pet passes through.

To switch between modes, press and hold the "Hold to Select" button until the desired indicator light illuminates. The sensitivity knob adjusts the range at which the Electronic Pet Door Key is detected.
