Safety Information
Please read and retain these instructions for future reference. Ensure all packaging materials are removed before giving the toy to a child. Always supervise children during play. This toy is intended for children aged 3 months to 3 years.
- Battery Safety: Keep batteries out of reach of children. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Remove exhausted batteries promptly. Dispose of batteries properly.
- Cleaning: Clean the toy with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not immerse in water.
- Damage: Inspect the toy regularly for any damage. Discontinue use if any part is broken or detached.

Setup
Battery Installation
The Octoplush requires 2 AA batteries (not included) for its musical and language features.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the Octoplush, usually secured with a hook-and-loop fastener.
- Open the fastener and locate the battery box.
- Using a small screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 2 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
- Close the hook-and-loop fastener.

Operating Instructions
The Baby Einstein Octoplush offers interactive features to stimulate your child's senses and encourage learning.
Activating Sounds and Colors
Each of the Octoplush's eight soft legs features an embroidered image. Squeeze each leg to hear the corresponding color name and a short classical melody.

Head Activation
Squeeze the Octoplush's head to activate additional classical melodies, providing a soothing auditory experience.

Language Selection
The Octoplush can announce colors in three languages: English, Spanish, and French. To change the language:
- Open the hook-and-loop fastener on the back of the Octoplush.
- Locate the language switch on the battery box.
- Slide the switch to select your desired language (EN for English, ES for Spanish, FR for French).
- Close the fastener.
Volume Control
Adjust the volume to a comfortable level using the volume switch located next to the language switch on the battery box.
Maintenance
Cleaning Instructions
To keep your Octoplush clean and hygienic:
- Wipe the surface with a damp cloth using mild soap.
- Do not submerge the toy in water.
- Allow to air dry completely before storage or next use.
- Do not bleach, tumble dry, or iron.

Troubleshooting
No Sound or Intermittent Sound
- Check if the batteries are correctly installed with the proper polarity.
- Replace old or weak batteries with new AA batteries.
- Ensure the volume switch is not set to the lowest setting.
- Verify the language switch is set to a valid language.
Toy Not Responding
- Ensure the toy is switched ON. The ON/OFF switch is located in the battery compartment.
- If the toy has been exposed to moisture, allow it to dry completely.
