To clean the DigiClock, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing.

When the display becomes dim or unresponsive, it is time to replace the 3V lithium battery (CR2 type). Follow the battery installation steps outlined in Section 3.1.

5.3 Water Resistance

The Oxford DigiClock is designed to be waterproof. However, to maintain its integrity, avoid submerging it for extended periods or exposing it to high-pressure water jets.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Display is dim or blank: Check battery installation and replace the battery if necessary. Ensure the unit is not exposed to extreme temperatures outside its operating range.
  • Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure buttons are pressed firmly and directly. If wearing gloves, confirm they allow for sufficient tactile feedback. If issues persist, try replacing the battery.
  • Incorrect temperature reading: Ensure the unit is not directly exposed to heat sources (e.g., engine heat) or direct sunlight for prolonged periods, which can affect sensor accuracy.
  • Ice Alert not activating: Verify the ambient temperature is indeed at or below 3°C (37.4°F). If the temperature is correct and the alert does not activate, contact customer support.
