Setup and Installation
The Lorell Dry-Erase Board is designed for wall mounting. Follow these steps for secure installation.
Tools Required (Not Included):
- Drill
- Drill bits appropriate for wall anchors
- Level
- Measuring Tape
- Pencil
- Screwdriver (Phillips head recommended)
- Stud Finder (recommended for drywall installation)
Installation Steps:
- Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location, ensuring it is clear of electrical wires or plumbing. Consider the height for comfortable writing and viewing.
- Measure and Mark: Hold the board against the wall at the desired height and use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark the positions for the mounting holes on the wall using a pencil. The board has pre-drilled holes on the aluminum frame for mounting.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Using the appropriate drill bit for your wall type (e.g., smaller bit for wood studs, larger for drywall anchors), drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
- Insert Anchors (if needed): If drilling into drywall without studs, insert the provided wall anchors into the pilot holes until flush with the wall surface.
- Mount the Board: Align the pre-drilled holes on the board's frame with the drilled holes/anchors on the wall. Insert the screws through the board's frame and into the wall/anchors. Tighten the screws securely, but do not overtighten, to avoid damaging the frame or wall.
- Attach Marker Tray: The marker tray slides onto the bottom frame of the board. Ensure it is securely seated.

Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your dry-erase board.
- Daily Cleaning: Use a standard dry-erase eraser to remove all markings after each use.
- Deep Cleaning: For ghosting or stubborn marks, use a specialized dry-erase board cleaner or a damp cloth with a mild soap solution. Apply the cleaner to a soft cloth, wipe the board, and then dry thoroughly with another clean, dry cloth.
- Avoid: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or sharp objects on the board surface. Do not use glass cleaner, as it can leave a residue that makes future erasing difficult.
- Frame Care: Wipe the aluminum frame with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or smudges.
