Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the kettle thoroughly with warm soapy water. Rinse completely and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- First Use Preparation: Fill the kettle with clean water to its maximum capacity. Bring the water to a boil, then discard it. This helps to clean any manufacturing residues and prepare the kettle for use.
- Placement: Place the kettle on a stable, level heat source. Ensure the kettle's base is centered on the burner for even heating.

Operating Instructions
- Filling the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Do not fill above the maximum fill line (approximately 200 cl or 2.09 quarts) to prevent boiling water from spilling out. Ensure the lid is securely closed before heating.
- Heating Water: Place the kettle on your chosen heat source. The kettle is suitable for all cooktops, including induction. Use a burner size appropriate for the kettle's base to maximize efficiency and prevent handle overheating.
- Whistle Function: As the water boils, the brass whistle will emit a melodic sound, indicating that the water is ready.
- Pouring: Carefully remove the kettle from the heat source using the insulated handle. To pour, gently tilt the kettle. The whistle mechanism is designed to allow pouring without removal. Exercise caution as steam and hot water can cause burns.

Maintenance and Care
- Regular Cleaning: After each use, allow the kettle to cool completely. Wash with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots and maintain the polished finish.
- Dishwasher Safety: The kettle is dishwasher safe. However, hand washing is recommended to preserve the finish and the integrity of the brass whistle over time.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour, then bring to a boil. Discard the solution, rinse thoroughly several times, and boil fresh water before next use. Repeat if necessary.
- Handle Care: The PA handle is designed for durability. Avoid exposing it to direct flame or excessive heat for prolonged periods, as this may cause damage.
- Brass Whistle Care: The brass whistle may naturally tarnish over time. It can be polished with a brass cleaner if desired, following the cleaner's instructions.
Troubleshooting
- Whistle not sounding or sounding weakly:
- Ensure the lid is securely closed and the kettle is filled to an appropriate level.
- Check if the whistle mechanism is clean and free from blockages.
- Verify that the kettle is heating evenly on the burner.
- Water not heating efficiently:
- Confirm the kettle is centered on a burner of appropriate size.
- For induction cooktops, ensure the hob is compatible with stainless steel cookware and is activated correctly.
- Check for limescale buildup inside the kettle, which can reduce heating efficiency. Descale if necessary.
- Stains or discoloration on stainless steel:
- Hard water can leave mineral deposits. Regular cleaning and descaling will prevent this.
- Heat tint (rainbow discoloration) can occur from high heat. This is harmless and can often be removed with a stainless steel cleaner or a vinegar solution.
