Setup and Fitting Instructions

Proper fitting is essential for effective protection.

2. Position the Respirator: Hold the respirator with one hand, with the nosepiece facing up. Place the chin into the chin cup.
3. Pull Straps Over Head: Pull the head straps over your head, positioning the top strap high on the crown of your head and the bottom strap around your neck, below your ears.
4. Adjust Straps: Tighten the straps evenly by pulling on the ends until the respirator fits snugly but comfortably against your face. Ensure there are no gaps between your face and the respirator seal.
5. Perform a User Seal Check:
   • Positive Pressure Seal Check: Gently exhale while covering the exhalation valve with the palm of your hand. If the facepiece slightly bulges and no air leaks around the edges, a proper seal has been achieved.
   • Negative Pressure Seal Check: Gently inhale while covering the entire surface of the cartridges with the palms of your hands. If the facepiece collapses slightly and no air leaks around the edges, a proper seal has been achieved.

   If you detect any air leakage during the seal check, readjust the straps and repeat the check. If a proper seal cannot be achieved, do not enter the contaminated area.

Operating Instructions

Once properly fitted and sealed, the respirator is ready for use in environments containing organic vapors within the approved concentration limits.

• Wear the respirator continuously while in the contaminated area.
• Do not remove the respirator until you have exited the contaminated area and are in a clean air environment.
• If you experience difficulty breathing, dizziness, irritation, or detect the taste or smell of contaminants, immediately leave the contaminated area and replace the respirator.

Maintenance and Storage

This respirator is designed for minimal maintenance due to its permanently attached cartridges.

• Cleaning: The facepiece can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild soap solution after each use, if necessary. Do not submerge the entire respirator in water. Allow to air dry completely before storage.
• Cartridge Replacement: The cartridges on this model are permanently attached and cannot be replaced. The entire respirator assembly must be discarded when the cartridges are spent or if breathing resistance becomes too high.
• Storage: Store the respirator in a clean, dry, and cool place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and contaminated areas. Keep it in its original packaging or a sealed bag to protect it from dust and damage.
• Disposal: Dispose of the used respirator according to local regulations for hazardous waste, especially if used in environments with hazardous contaminants.
