The RCA 3-Device Universal Remote Control Platinum Pro is designed to simplify your home entertainment experience by consolidating up to three remote controls into one. Setup
1. Battery Installation
The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included). To install:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the battery cover downwards to open.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Device Programming (Pairing)
This universal remote can control up to three devices: a Television (TV), a Satellite/Cable/Digital Converter Box (SAT•CBL•DTC), and a DVD/VCR player or Streaming device (DVD•VCR/STREAM). There are multiple methods to program your remote:
- Automatic Code Search: This method scans for the correct code for your device.
- Brand Code Search: Use this method if you know the brand of your device.
- Direct Code Entry: Enter a specific code from the included code list for your device brand. This is often the quickest method if the code is known.
- Manual Code Search: A step-by-step process to find a working code.
Refer to the comprehensive code list provided in the remote's packaging for specific brand codes. The list contains thousands of codes for various devices, including older VCRs and even projectors.

Operating Instructions
Once programmed, your remote is ready for use. Select the desired device mode (TV, SAT•CBL•DTC, or DVD•VCR/STREAM) by pressing the corresponding button at the top of the remote. The indicator light will confirm the selected mode.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote control. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's performance degrades or the indicator light no longer illuminates. Always replace both batteries at the same time.
- Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding:
- Ensure fresh batteries are installed correctly.
- Verify that the correct device mode (TV, SAT•CBL•DTC, DVD•VCR/STREAM) is selected.
- Point the remote directly at the device's IR sensor.
- Try reprogramming the remote using a different code from the provided list.
- Some buttons not working:
