4. Setup
4.1. Installing Batteries
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert two AA-size alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4.2. Inserting a Memory Card
The Finepix A800 supports both xD Picture Cards and SD memory cards. It also has approximately 10MB of internal memory.
- Open the memory card slot cover, usually located on the side or bottom of the camera.
- Insert the memory card (xD or SD) into the slot with the correct orientation until it clicks into place.

5. Basic Operation
5.1. Powering On/Off
Press the POWER button to turn the camera on or off. The lens will extend when powered on.

- Turn on the camera.
- Select the desired shooting mode using the mode dial.
- Frame your shot using the 2.5-inch LCD display.
- Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The focus indicator will illuminate when focus is achieved.

To record videos:
- Set the mode dial to the video recording icon.
