Operating Instructions (Gameplay)

Elite Beat Agents is primarily controlled using the Nintendo DS touch screen and stylus. The top screen displays the story and animations, while the bottom screen is where all gameplay interactions occur.

Tap Markers: When a numbered circle appears, tap it with the stylus precisely when the outer ring shrinks to meet the inner circle.
Phrase Markers: For longer notes, tap and hold the stylus on the starting point, then drag it along the path indicated until the end.
Spin Markers: When a large circular marker appears, rapidly spin the stylus in a circular motion within the marker until the gauge fills.

Gameplay Flow

Select a mission from the main menu.
Watch the introductory comic-style cutscene that sets up the scenario.
Follow the on-screen rhythm markers, tapping, holding, and spinning in time with the music.
Maintain your "Groovy" meter by hitting markers accurately. If the meter drops too low, the mission will fail.
Successfully complete the song to see the resolution of the mission's story.

Maintenance and Care

Storage: Store the game card in its original case or a dedicated game card holder to protect it from dust, dirt, and physical damage.
Cleaning: If the game card's contacts become dirty, gently wipe them with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive materials.
