Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The watch uses one Lithium Metal battery (included). When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Due to the specialized triangle-head screws on the watch back, it is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician or an authorized Timex service center to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.

Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This rating makes it suitable for swimming, showering, and snorkeling. It is not suitable for scuba diving or high-impact water sports where water pressure may exceed the rating. Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged or wet, as this can compromise the water resistance.
Care and Cleaning
Clean your watch with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, which can damage the case or strap. Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water or chlorine.
Troubleshooting
- Display is dim or blank: The battery may be low or depleted. Refer to the Battery Replacement section.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though this model typically does not have a lock feature). If the issue persists, a battery replacement might be needed, or a soft reset by removing and reinserting the battery (professional service recommended).
- Time is inaccurate: Re-set the time as per the 'Setting Time and Date' instructions. If inaccuracy continues, the battery may be weak, or the watch may require service.
- Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to an authorized service center. Do not attempt to open it yourself, as this will void the warranty and cause further damage.
