Connecting Equipment

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Circuit Breaker

The PDP-950 features a main circuit breaker on the front panel. To power on the unit and connected equipment, ensure the circuit breaker is in the "ON" position. If an overload occurs, the circuit breaker will trip to protect the unit and connected devices. To reset, switch the breaker to "OFF" and then back to "ON" after resolving the overload condition.

Digital Voltage Display

The central digital display shows the current input voltage, allowing you to monitor the power supply to your equipment.

Dimmable LED Rack Lights

The PDP-950 includes two pull-out LED lights designed to illuminate your rack equipment. To extend the lights, gently pull the knobs labeled "PULL".

  • Dimmer Control: Use the "DIMMER" knob to adjust the brightness of the LED rack lights from minimum to maximum intensity.
  • USB Light Port: A dedicated USB port is provided for connecting an optional USB gooseneck light (not included) for additional illumination.

Switched Outlets

The outlets on the rear of the unit are "SWITCHED", meaning their power is controlled by the main power switch/circuit breaker on the front panel. This allows for convenient power cycling of all connected equipment.

Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings are not blocked. Proper airflow is crucial for preventing overheating.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure it is in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
