3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Basic Calculations
Perform standard arithmetic operations:
- Addition: Enter first number, press +, enter second number, press =.
- Subtraction: Enter first number, press -, enter second number, press =.
- Multiplication: Enter first number, press x, enter second number, press =.
- Division: Enter first number, press ÷, enter second number, press =.
- Decimal Point: Use the . button for decimal values.
- Double Zero: Use the 00 button for quick entry of two zeros.
3.2 Clear Functions
- C (Clear Entry): Clears the last entered number or the current calculation entry without affecting previous calculations or memory.
- AC (All Clear): Clears all entries, calculations, and memory content, resetting the calculator to its initial state.
3.3 Memory Functions
The calculator includes independent memory for storing and recalling values:
- M+ (Memory Plus): Adds the displayed value to the memory.
- M- (Memory Minus): Subtracts the displayed value from the memory.
- MRC (Memory Recall/Clear): Press once to recall the value stored in memory. Press twice to clear the memory.
3.4 Tax Calculations
The calculator features dedicated tax calculation functions. First, set the tax rate:
- Press SET.
- Enter the tax rate percentage (e.g., 5 for 5%).
- Press TAX RATE. The tax rate is now stored.
To perform tax calculations:
- TAX+ (Add Tax): Enter the original amount, then press TAX+ to display the amount including tax.
- TAX- (Subtract Tax): Enter the amount including tax, then press TAX- to display the original amount before tax.
3.5 Percentage Calculations
Use the % button for percentage calculations, including profit margin calculations.
- Example (Simple Percentage): To calculate 15% of 200: Enter 200 x 15 %.
- Example (Add Percentage): To add 15% to 200: Enter 200 + 15 %.
3.6 Currency Conversion
The calculator supports currency conversion, specifically between a local currency and the Euro. First, set the Euro exchange rate:
- Press SET.
- Enter the exchange rate (e.g., 1.25 if 1 Euro = 1.25 Local units).
- Press RATE. The exchange rate is now stored.
To perform currency conversions:
- Local to Euro: Enter the amount in Local currency, then press Euro.
- Euro to Local: Enter the amount in Euro, then press Local.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To clean the calculator, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or wet cloths, as these can damage the casing or internal components.
4.2 Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or unresponsive, replace the LR44 battery. To replace the battery:
- Turn the calculator over.
- Locate the battery compartment cover.
- Use a small screwdriver to open the compartment.
- Remove the old LR44 battery and insert a new one, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Securely close the battery compartment cover.
4.3 Storage
Store the calculator in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the calculator.

- Blank or Dim Display:
- Ensure the solar panel is exposed to sufficient light.
