Setup

- Placement: Place the tea maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Initial Rinse Cycle: Before brewing tea for the first time, run a cycle with only water to clean the internal components.
- Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the maximum fill line.
- Place the empty glass teapot on the heating plate.
- Ensure the tea basket is empty and properly seated.
- Plug the unit into a standard electrical outlet.
- Turn the power switch to "On". Allow the water to cycle through completely.
- Discard the hot water from the teapot.
Operating Instructions
Brewing Tea
- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid of the water reservoir and fill it with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (28 ounces).
- Add Tea:
- For Loose Tea: Place the desired amount of loose tea into the removable tea basket.
- For Tea Bags: Place tea bags into the removable tea basket.
- Position Teapot: Place the glass teapot with its lid on the heating plate.
- Select Steeping Strength: Turn the control knob to your desired steeping strength (Mild, Medium, or Strong). This adjusts the water flow rate through the tea basket.
- Start Brewing: Plug the tea maker into a standard electrical outlet and turn the front-access power switch to "On". The brewing process will begin.
- Keep Warm Function: Once brewing is complete, the heating plate will automatically switch to a "Keep Warm" function, maintaining the tea's temperature.
- Serve: Carefully remove the teapot from the heating plate and pour. The teapot features a drip-free spout.
- Turn Off: After serving, turn the power switch to "Off" and unplug the unit from the outlet.
Note: For stronger tea, you may leave the tea bags or loose tea in the teapot after brewing, or adjust the steeping strength setting.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tea maker.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the tea maker from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wash Removable Parts: Remove the glass teapot, its lid, and the tea basket. Wash these parts in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. These parts may also be top-rack dishwasher safe (refer to product markings if available).
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the tea maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the main unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Descaling (Periodically): Mineral deposits from water can build up over time. To descale:
- Fill the water reservoir with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water.
- Place the empty teapot on the heating plate.
- Run a brewing cycle without tea.
- After the cycle, let the solution sit in the reservoir for 15-20 minutes.
- Run two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse thoroughly.
