Introduction

The Marshall MS-2 is a compact, battery-powered micro guitar amplifier designed for portability and practice on the go. Despite its small size, it delivers authentic Marshall tone with switchable clean and overdrive channels. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your MS-2 amplifier.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The MS-2 amplifier operates on a single 9V battery (not included). For optimal performance, it is recommended to use high-quality 9V batteries.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the amplifier.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover open.
  3. Insert a 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - terminals).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Connecting Your Guitar

To connect your guitar to the MS-2 amplifier:

  1. Ensure the amplifier is turned off (Power Function switch in the "OFF" position).
  2. Insert a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable into the "INPUT" jack on the top panel of the amplifier.
  3. Connect the other end of the instrument cable to your guitar.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On and Off

The MS-2 features a "Power Function" switch with three positions: OFF, ON, and OD (Overdrive).

2. Adjusting Sound

Use the control knobs to shape your sound:

3. Headphone Use

For private practice, connect standard 1/4-inch headphones to the "HEADPHONE" jack located on the side of the amplifier. This will mute the internal speaker.
