Setup and Installation
The Mi-T-M AW-8400-0021 Chemical Injector is designed for quick connection to compatible pressure washers.
- Prepare Pressure Washer: Ensure your pressure washer is turned off and disconnected from its water supply and power source. Relieve any residual pressure in the system.
- Connect Injector: The chemical injector typically connects between the high-pressure outlet of your pressure washer pump and the high-pressure hose. It is designed to work with most Quick Connect units. Ensure your pressure washer has a compatible female quick disconnect fitting on its outlet port.

- Attach Siphon Hose: Connect the siphon hose to the chemical injector. Place the filter end of the siphon hose into your container of pressure washer-approved cleaning solution. For optimal performance, ensure the filter remains submerged.
- Secure Connections: Double-check all quick-connect fittings to ensure they are fully seated and secure to prevent leaks during operation.
IMPORTANT: This product will not work if using more than 50 feet of high-pressure hose between the injector and the spray gun. Using longer hoses can prevent proper chemical draw.
Operation
To effectively use the chemical injector, a low-pressure spray tip (typically a black tip) must be used with your pressure washer. High-pressure tips will not allow the injector to draw detergent.
- Select Low-Pressure Tip: Attach the appropriate low-pressure (black) spray tip to your pressure washer wand.
- Prepare Detergent: Ensure the siphon hose filter is submerged in your chosen pressure washer-safe cleaning solution.
- Start Pressure Washer: Turn on your pressure washer and water supply.
- Apply Detergent: Squeeze the trigger gun. The chemical injector will begin to draw detergent and mix it with the water stream at a low pressure. Apply the solution to the surface you intend to clean.
- Rinse: After applying detergent, switch to a high-pressure spray tip (e.g., 0°, 15°, 25°, 40° white, yellow, green, or red tips) to rinse the surface. The chemical injector will automatically stop drawing detergent when a high-pressure tip is used.
The injector may have an adjustment feature to control the amount of soap drawn. Refer to the unit itself for specific adjustment mechanisms.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your chemical injector.
- Flush After Use: After each use, flush the chemical injector by placing the siphon hose into a bucket of clean water and running the pressure washer with a low-pressure tip until all detergent residue is cleared from the injector. This prevents chemical buildup and clogging.
- Inspect Connections: Regularly inspect all quick-connect fittings and hoses for wear, damage, or leaks. Replace any damaged components immediately.
- Clean Filter: Periodically clean the filter at the end of the siphon hose to ensure unrestricted chemical flow.
- Storage: Store the chemical injector in a clean, dry, and frost-free environment when not in use.
