Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean your mouse.
- Ensure the mouse is turned off.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the exterior.
- Avoid getting moisture into any openings.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator signals low power, replace the AA batteries as described in the Setup section.
Troubleshooting
No Mouse Movement or Intermittent Tracking
- Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Power Switch: Verify the mouse's power switch (located on the underside) is in the 'ON' position.
- Receiver Connection: Ensure the 2.4GHz Micro-Receiver is securely plugged into a functional USB or PS/2 port on your computer. Try a different port.
- Wireless Interference: The 2.4 GHz technology is designed to minimize interference, but extreme cases may occur. Move the mouse closer to the receiver or ensure no large metal objects are between them.
- Surface Compatibility: While laser tracking is highly versatile, extreme reflective or transparent surfaces (like clear glass) may affect performance. Try using the mouse on a different surface or a mouse pad.
Buttons or Scroll Wheel Not Responding
- Software Check: Ensure Logitech SetPoint software is installed and configured correctly. Check for any custom button assignments that might be causing unexpected behavior.
- Re-sync Mouse: Some models may have a re-sync button on the mouse and/or receiver. Consult the included Installation Guide for specific instructions.
