Components
- ParaSpaMini PAR-100 Unit
- Lid
- 3 lbs. Pure Paraffin Wax (Hypo-allergenic, no scents or dyes)
- Plastic Grid (for protecting the bottom of the unit)
Setup Instructions
- Placement: Place the ParaSpaMini unit on a flat, sturdy, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure it is away from water sources and out of reach of children.
- Insert Grid: Place the plastic grid at the bottom of the paraffin bath. This grid protects the heating element and prevents direct contact with the hot bottom surface.
- Add Wax: Open the lid and place the included 3 lbs of pure paraffin wax into the unit. Ensure the wax blocks are evenly distributed over the grid.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
- Melt Wax: Turn the unit on using the temperature control dial. Set it to the highest setting initially to melt the wax faster. The wax will take approximately 2-3 hours to fully melt. The indicator light will illuminate when the unit is heating.
- Test Temperature: Once the wax is completely melted, turn the temperature control dial to the desired operating temperature. Before dipping, always test the wax temperature on a small area of your wrist to ensure it is comfortable and not too hot.

Operating Instructions
- Prepare Skin: Ensure your hands or feet are clean and dry. Remove any jewelry.
- Test Wax Temperature: Before immersing, test the wax temperature by dipping a small area of your wrist into the melted wax. It should feel warm and comfortable, not uncomfortably hot. Adjust the temperature dial if necessary.
- Dip Application: Slowly dip your hand or foot into the melted paraffin wax, ensuring full coverage. Immediately withdraw. Wait a few seconds for the wax to harden slightly and form a layer.
- Repeat Dipping: Repeat the dipping process 3-5 times to build up several layers of wax.
- Relax: Once the desired number of layers is achieved, relax your hand or foot for 10-15 minutes, allowing the heat to penetrate. For enhanced heat retention, you may cover the waxed area with a plastic bag or towel (not included).
- Remove Wax: Gently peel off the hardened wax from your skin. The wax should come off easily in large pieces. Discard the used wax. Do not reuse wax that has been removed from your skin.
- Post-Treatment: After removing the wax, your skin will feel soft and moisturized. You may apply a moisturizer if desired.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove Wax: Once the wax has solidified and cooled, it can be removed from the unit. Turn the unit upside down over a waste bin and gently push the wax out. If the wax is difficult to remove, briefly turn the unit on for 10-15 minutes to slightly soften the wax edges, then unplug and remove.
- Wipe Clean: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the interior and exterior surfaces of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. Do not immerse the unit in water.
- Dry Thoroughly: Ensure all surfaces are completely dry before storing or next use.
Replacing Wax
It is recommended to replace the paraffin wax after approximately 20-30 uses, or if the wax appears dirty or contaminated. Only use pure paraffin wax designed for therapeutic baths. Do not mix different types of wax.
Storage
Store the unit in a cool, dry place. Keep the lid on the unit to protect the wax from dust and debris. Do not wrap the power cord around the unit.
Troubleshooting
- Unit Not Turning On:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check if the temperature control dial is turned to an 'ON' position.
- Wax Not Melting or Melting Slowly:
- Verify the unit is plugged in and turned on.
- Ensure the temperature control dial is set to a higher temperature. Melting can take 2-3 hours.
- Make sure the lid is properly closed to retain heat.
- Wax Too Hot or Too Cold:
- Adjust the temperature control dial to a lower setting if the wax is too hot, or a higher setting if it is too cold. Allow time for the temperature to stabilize after adjustment.
- Always test the wax temperature on your wrist before full immersion.
- Wax Not Adhering Properly:
- Ensure hands/feet are clean and completely dry before dipping.
- Dip slowly and allow each layer to set slightly before redipping.
