Setup

Initial Time Setting

  1. In Timekeeping Mode, press the ADJUST button (top left) until the seconds digits flash.
  2. Press the MODE button (bottom left) to cycle through the settings: Seconds → Hour → Minute → Year → Month → Day.
  3. Use the REV/TIME (top right) and FWD (bottom right) buttons to adjust the flashing value.
  4. Press ADJUST again to exit the setting mode.

12/24-Hour Format

In Timekeeping Mode, press the AC/12/24H button (bottom right) to toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats.

Operating Instructions

Mode Navigation

Press the MODE button (bottom left) to cycle through the watch's functions:

  • Timekeeping Mode
  • Data Bank Mode
  • Calculator Mode
  • Stopwatch Mode
  • Alarm Mode
  • Dual Time Mode

Data Bank Function

The Data Bank allows storage of up to 25 sets of data, including names and phone numbers.

  1. Enter Data Bank Mode by pressing the MODE button.
  2. Press ADJUST to enter edit mode.
  3. Use the calculator keypad to input characters and numbers. Use REV/TIME and FWD to move the cursor.
  4. Press ADJUST to save the entry.

The watch supports 13 languages for day-of-week display and data entry.

Calculator Function

The 10-key pad allows for 8-digit calculations and currency conversions.

  1. Enter Calculator Mode by pressing the MODE button.
  2. Use the numeric keypad (0-9) and operation keys (X, -, +, /) to perform calculations.
  3. Press =PM to display the result.
  4. For currency conversion, set the exchange rate in Calculator Mode by holding ADJUST and then inputting the rate.

Alarms

The watch features five multi-function alarms and an hourly time signal.

  • To set an alarm: Enter Alarm Mode, select an alarm (AL1-AL5), press ADJUST, and use REV/TIME and FWD to set the time.
  • To activate/deactivate alarms or the hourly time signal: In Alarm Mode, use FWD to toggle them on/off.
  • Snooze Alarm: AL1 can be set as a snooze alarm.

LED Backlight

Press the LIGHT button (top right) to illuminate the display. The backlight features an afterglow for extended visibility.

An auto-light switch can be enabled to automatically illuminate the display when the watch is tilted towards your face.

Dual Time

Monitor two different time zones simultaneously.

  1. Enter Dual Time Mode.
  2. Press ADJUST to enter setting mode.
  3. Use REV/TIME and FWD to set the second time zone.
  4. Press ADJUST to save.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The Casio DBC32-1A uses a CR2025 lithium battery, providing approximately 10 years of operation. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.

If replacing the battery yourself, ensure the gasket is properly seated and the case back is securely fastened to prevent moisture ingress.

Cleaning

Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild soap, then wipe dry. Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents as they may damage the watch's finish or components.

Water Resistance

This watch is designed for daily use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering with hot water. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet.
