5. Setup & Installation

This fixture is designed for ceiling mount installation. It features a 1/2-inch IPS thread on the top and sides for easy conduit connection. Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with electrical wiring.

5.1 Tools Required

5.2 Installation Steps

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light fixture's power supply and turn it OFF. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Disassemble Fixture:
    • Loosen the screws on the metal cage to separate it from the main housing.
    • Unscrew the glass lens from the main housing.
    • Inside the main housing, locate the two screws holding the socket assembly. Loosen these screws slightly and twist to separate the top mounting plate from the socket assembly.
  3. Mounting: Secure the top mounting plate to your ceiling junction box using appropriate screws. The fixture is designed to mount to a standard 4-inch round electrical box. You may need to remove the conduit-accepting upper part of the fixture to reveal the conventional 4-inch mount.
  4. Wiring: Connect the electrical wires from your power supply to the fixture's wires. Typically, black to black (hot), white to white (neutral), and green or bare copper to ground. Ensure all connections are tight and secure with wire nuts.
  5. Reassemble Fixture:
    • Carefully reattach the socket assembly to the top mounting plate by twisting and tightening the screws.
    • Screw in the incandescent bulb (150W max) into the socket.
    • Carefully screw the tempered glass lens back onto the main housing, ensuring a tight, weather-tight seal.
    • Reattach the metal cage by aligning it and tightening the screws securely.
  6. Restore Power: Turn the power back ON at the circuit breaker. Test the light fixture to ensure it functions correctly.
