4. Maintenance
4.1 Battery Replacement
The watch uses one CR2025 lithium battery, providing approximately 10 years of operation. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
4.2 Water Resistance
This watch is rated for 50-meter (5 ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering with hot water, as steam and pressure changes can compromise the seals.
4.3 Care and Cleaning
- Clean the watch with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild soap, then wipe dry.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or strong magnetic fields.
- Do not expose the watch to gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paints, or other chemicals, as they can damage the resin case and band.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Display is Blank or Dim
This usually indicates a low battery. Replace the CR2025 battery as described in the Maintenance section.
5.2 Buttons Do Not Respond
Ensure the watch is not in a frozen or extremely hot environment. If the issue persists, a battery replacement might be necessary, or a reset procedure (refer to the full module manual for specific reset instructions, often involving shorting a specific contact after battery removal).
5.3 Time is Inaccurate
Check if the time and date settings are correct. If the watch consistently gains or loses significant time, the internal module may require service. A new battery can sometimes resolve minor inaccuracies.
