Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the water tank, drip tray, and any removable parts with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
  3. Water Reservoir: Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold filtered water up to the MAX line. Do not use hot water or other liquids.
  4. Power Connection: Place the machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Priming the Pump: Follow the manufacturer's instructions for priming the pump, typically by running a few cycles of hot water through the machine without coffee to remove air from the system.

Operating Instructions

Making Espresso

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
  2. Preheat the machine by turning it on and allowing it to reach operating temperature (indicator light will signal readiness).
  3. Place ground espresso coffee into the portafilter. Tamp the coffee evenly.
  4. Attach the portafilter securely to the brewing head.
  5. Place an espresso cup under the spouts.
  6. Initiate the brewing process according to the machine's controls.
  7. Once the desired amount of espresso is brewed, stop the flow.

Making Cappuccino/Latte (Auto Cappuccino Feature)

The FNP2 Espremio features an auto cappuccino function for simplified milk frothing.

  1. Prepare your espresso shot as described above.
  2. Fill a container with cold milk.
  3. Position the steam wand into the milk.
  4. Activate the steam function. The auto cappuccino feature will automatically froth the milk to the desired consistency.
  5. Once frothed, add the milk to your espresso.
  6. Clean the steam wand immediately after use by wiping it with a damp cloth and purging a small amount of steam.
