Operating Your Ceiling Fan
Speed Control
The fan is controlled by a 3-speed pull chain. Pull the chain to cycle through high, medium, low, and off settings.
Reversible Motor Function
A slide switch on the fan motor housing controls the direction of blade rotation. This allows for seasonal use:
- Summer Mode: Blades rotate counter-clockwise, pushing air downward to create a cooling breeze.
- Winter Mode: Blades rotate clockwise, drawing air upward to circulate warm air trapped near the ceiling.
To change direction, turn off the fan and wait for the blades to stop completely before moving the switch.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning
- Periodically clean the fan with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- For outdoor use, ensure the fan remains free of debris.
Inspections
- Check all connections and screws annually to ensure they remain secure.
- If the fan develops a wobble, ensure all blade screws are tight and consider using a blade balancing kit (not included) if necessary.
Troubleshooting Guide

- Check that the power supply is on at the circuit breaker.
- Ensure all electrical connections are secure.
- Verify the pull chain is not in the "off" position.

- Ensure all blade screws are tightened securely.
- Check that the mounting bracket is firmly attached to the ceiling junction box.
- Verify the downrod is properly seated and secured.
