4. Setup

4.1. Ground Spike Installation

The ground spike provides stable anchorage for your clothesline. No digging is required for installation in suitable ground.

  1. Select a level, clear area in your garden, ensuring sufficient space for the clothesline to rotate freely (approx. 10.12 ft diameter).
  2. Place the metal ground spike (code 2) at the desired location.
  3. Using a sledgehammer and a piece of wood (to protect the spike), carefully drive the spike into the ground until it is flush with the surface. Ensure it remains vertical during installation.
  4. Once installed, the closable cap can be used to cover the opening when the clothesline is not in use, preventing debris from entering.

4.2. Clothesline Unit Placement

  1. Remove the cap from the installed ground spike.
  2. Insert the main pole of the Lift-O-Matic clothesline unit into the ground spike.
  3. Ensure the unit is firmly seated in the spike.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Opening the Clothesline

  1. With the unit in the ground spike, grasp the lower part of the central pole.
  2. Push the arms upwards until they click into place, fully extending the drying lines.

5.2. Adjusting Height

The Lift-O-Matic features an adjustable height mechanism, allowing you to set the drying rack from 4.23 to 6.14 feet (129 to 187 cm).

  1. Locate the adjustment lever on the central pole.
  2. Press the lever and slide the pole up or down to your desired working height.
  3. Release the lever to lock the pole in position.

5.3. Hanging Laundry

  • The clothesline offers 197 feet of drying line space, capable of holding up to four machine loads of laundry.
  • Hang items evenly across the lines to distribute weight.
  • For larger items like bedding or cushions, utilize the lowest setting to air them out.
  • Each arm is fitted with special holes for clothes hangers, ideal for delicate items.
  • The rotary design allows you to stand in one spot and rotate the clothesline to access all lines.

6.1. Cleaning
