Brabantia Rotary Dryer Line Replacement Instructions
This guide provides instructions for replacing the washing lines on Brabantia rotary dryers. It includes specific instructions for the WallFix wall-mounted dryer and general instructions for other Brabantia rotary dryers.
General Instructions for Brabantia Rotary Dryers
These instructions apply to rotary dryers with two types of line connectors, labeled A and B.
Before You Start:
- Check the type of line connectors used for the existing lines (see figures A and B).
If Existing Lines Use Connectors A:
- Begin with the innermost washing lines and work from inside to outside.
- Partially open the rotary dryer. Cut the old washing line next to the metal connector with scissors (fig. A).
- Cut a piece of the new washing line about 15 cm longer than the old line.
If Existing Lines Use Connectors B:
- Begin with the innermost washing lines and work from inside to outside.
- Partially open the rotary dryer. Cut the old washing line next to the metal connector with scissors (fig. B).
- Note that lines with this connector type are fastened to each arm. New lines, except the outermost one, should be fastened per 'round'. Cut a piece of new washing line about 4 times the length of one old line, plus 23 cm for fixing.
Continue for Either Fastening Clips A or B:
- Thread the new lines through the rotary dryer (fig. 2).
- Fasten the plastic connector (fig. 3) so that there are 2 line ends of 6.5 cm protruding.
- Follow this procedure for each washing line, making the new lines 15 cm longer than the old lines (for connector A) or 4 times the old line length + 23 cm (for connector B).
- Attention: The outermost lines for both type A and B are fastened to each arm and not threaded all the way around. The correct length for these new lines is the length of the old line + 15 cm.
- Open the rotary dryer completely and check the tension of the washing lines. Re-adjust as necessary by adjusting the lines in the plastic connectors.
- When all washing lines are adjusted correctly, fasten the ends of the lines in the plastic connectors (fig. 4) and cut off the excess line to about 2 cm (fig. 5).
Specific Instructions for Brabantia WallFix Dryer
Use these instructions only for the wall-mounted WallFix dryer.
- Start with the innermost line and work from inside to outside.
- Hold the rotary in a partly open position and remove the black caps from the arms (fig. 1).
- Start by cutting off the innermost line (fig. 2).
- Cut a piece of the new washing line of 148 cm to replace the innermost line. Attach a fastening clip at one end of the line, leaving a protruding piece of 3 cm (fig. 3-5).
- Thread the new line through the dryer and attach a fastening clip at the other end, leaving a protruding piece of 5 cm (fig. 6).
- After fastening the first line, open the WallFix until you hear a 'click' and check the line tension. Ensure the fastening clip is placed correctly against the arm (fig. 7). Use the 5 cm protruding piece to re-adjust the tension of the lines if necessary by tightening the line through the fastening clip.
- Fold the WallFix into the partly open position again and follow this procedure for each of the lines. Diagram 8 shows the correct lengths for replacement lines. Note that the old outermost lines were fastened to each arm, but all new lines should be fastened per 'round'.
- When all lines are adjusted correctly, cut off the excess lines to about 2 cm and re-position the black caps (fig. 9).
