Initial Setup

Setting Time and Date

Your Timex Expedition watch features a quick date function and 24-hour time display for precise timekeeping.

Pull the crown out to the furthest position. This stops the second hand and allows for time adjustment.
Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands. Observe the 24-hour markers to ensure accurate AM/PM setting.
Push the crown halfway in. This position is for quick date adjustment.
Turn the crown to set the date. Adjust until the correct date is displayed in the date window.
Push the crown fully back in to start the watch. Ensure the crown is fully seated to maintain water resistance.

Operating Your Watch

Indiglo Night-Light

The Indiglo night-light feature provides convenient illumination of the watch dial in low-light conditions.

Press the crown (pusher) firmly to activate the Indiglo night-light. The entire watch dial will illuminate.

Water Resistance

Your Timex Expedition watch is designed with a water resistance rating of 50 meters (165 feet).

This watch is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming.
It is not suitable for diving or snorkeling activities.
To prevent water intrusion, do not operate the crown or any pushers when the watch is wet.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the appearance and longevity of your watch.

To clean your watch, gently wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish or strap.

Battery Replacement

The watch operates on one Lithium Metal battery, which is included with your purchase.

When the battery needs replacement, it is recommended to have this service performed by a qualified watch technician. This ensures the watch's water resistance is properly maintained after the battery compartment is opened.

Strap Care

The watch features a genuine brown leather strap.

To prolong the life of the leather strap, keep it dry and clean.
Avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures, which can cause the leather to dry out, crack, or fade.
