Operating the Camera
1. Power On/Off

2. Focusing (Autofocus System)
The camera features an 11-point, multi-wide autofocus system for precise focusing. Simply point the camera at your subject and lightly press the shutter button halfway down. The camera will focus, and a focus indicator will illuminate in the viewfinder. If the camera shake indicator appears, hold the camera more steadily or use the flash.
3. Zoom Operation
Use the zoom lever (W for Wide, T for Telephoto) located on the top of the camera to adjust the focal length of the 37.5-150mm lens. Move the lever towards 'W' to zoom out (wide-angle) and towards 'T' to zoom in (telephoto).
4. Flash Modes
The camera offers a 6-mode variable power flash system. Press the flash mode button (usually indicated by a lightning bolt icon) to cycle through available modes such as Auto Flash, Red-eye Reduction, Fill-in Flash, Flash Off, etc. Select the appropriate mode for your lighting conditions.
5. Taking Pictures
- Frame your subject in the viewfinder.
- Press the shutter button halfway down to activate autofocus and exposure. Wait for the focus indicator to confirm focus.
- Press the shutter button fully down to take the picture. The film will automatically advance to the next frame.
6. Self-Timer
To use the electronic 12-second self-timer, press the self-timer button (often indicated by a clock icon). The self-timer lamp will blink, and the shutter will release after approximately 12 seconds. This allows the photographer to be included in the shot.
7. Film Rewind
Once all frames on the film roll have been exposed, the camera will automatically rewind the film back into the cartridge. The frame counter will reset. You can also manually rewind the film by pressing the manual rewind button (if available, check your camera's specific controls).
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
- Camera Body: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
- Lens: Use a lens brush or blower to remove dust, then gently wipe with a clean, soft lens cloth. Avoid touching the lens surface with your fingers.
- Viewfinder: Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
Do not use organic solvents such as thinner or benzene to clean the camera.
2. Storage
When not in use for extended periods, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Store the camera in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity. Use a desiccant if storing in humid environments.
Troubleshooting
- Camera does not power on: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are fresh.
- Film does not advance: Ensure film is loaded correctly and the film leader is properly engaged with the take-up spool.
- Flash does not fire: Check flash mode settings. Ensure the flash is not set to 'Flash Off'. Allow time for the flash to charge.
- Blurred images: Ensure the camera is held steady. The camera shake indicator will warn you if movement is detected. Use a faster shutter speed or flash in low light.
- Date/Time not imprinting: Verify the Quartz Date feature is enabled and set correctly.
