Setup

1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the camera body from its packaging. Verify that all included components are present: the Nikon N90s camera body, a strap, and a body cap. Inspect the camera for any visible damage. 2. Battery Installation

4. Attaching a Lens (Sold Separately)

Remove the body cap by twisting it counter-clockwise. Align the mounting index on your Nikon F-mount lens with the corresponding index on the camera body. Insert the lens into the mount and twist clockwise until it locks into place. Always keep the body cap on when a lens is not attached to protect the camera's interior.

Operating the Camera

1. Loading Film

To load a 35mm film roll, open the camera back by sliding the latch on the side of the camera downwards. Insert the film cartridge into the film chamber on the left side. Pull the film leader across to the take-up spool on the right, ensuring it catches on the sprocket teeth. Close the camera back firmly until it clicks. The camera will automatically advance the film to the first frame.

2. Powering On and Basic Settings

Turn the main power switch to the 'ON' position. The camera's LCD panel will display various settings. Use the command dials and buttons to set your desired exposure mode (e.g., Program, Shutter-priority, Aperture-priority, Manual), ISO sensitivity, and other parameters. Refer to your lens manual for specific aperture and focus ring operations.

3. Focusing and Exposure

5. Rewinding Film

• Cleaning the Camera Body: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the camera body. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but avoid excessive moisture. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
• Cleaning the Lens and Viewfinder: Use a lens brush or air blower to remove dust. For smudges, use a specialized lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Never touch optical surfaces with your fingers.
• Battery Care: Remove batteries if the camera will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
