Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and its power base from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage if needed.
  2. First Use Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with cold water up to the maximum level. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues.
  3. Placement: Place the power base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the countertop and out of reach of children.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Fill the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of cold water. Do not fill below the minimum mark or above the maximum mark.
  2. Close the Lid: Ensure the lid is securely closed before placing the kettle on the power base.
  3. Place on Base: Position the kettle onto the power base. It should sit firmly.
  4. Switch On: Press the ON/OFF switch (usually located near the handle or base). The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the kettle is heating.
  5. Boiling: The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has boiled, and the indicator light will extinguish.
  6. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from its base and pour the hot water. Be cautious of steam escaping from the spout.
  7. Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water immediately, wait a few seconds for the automatic switch to reset before pressing the ON/OFF switch again.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your kettle.

  • Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Interior Cleaning (Descaling): Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Descale regularly (e.g., monthly or every two months) using a commercial descaling solution suitable for kettles, or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
    1. Fill the kettle with the descaling solution or vinegar mixture.
    2. Bring to a boil (or let it soak for 30 minutes if using vinegar without boiling).
    3. Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
  • Filter Cleaning: If your kettle has a removable filter (usually located behind the spout), remove it and rinse under running water. Use a soft brush if necessary to remove stubborn deposits. Reinsert the filter securely.
