The GPX D715 is a versatile clock radio designed for convenience and functionality. It includes an AM/FM tuner, a top-loading CD player, a digital clock with a red LED display, and dual alarm capabilities. The unit is equipped with stereo full-range speakers for clear audio output and a battery backup system to maintain time and alarm settings during power outages.
Setup
1. Power Connection
Plug the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet. The unit will power on, and the display will illuminate.
2. Battery Backup Installation
For uninterrupted timekeeping and alarm settings during power interruptions, install a 9V battery (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) when inserting the battery.
3. Setting the Clock
- Press and hold the TIME SET button. The hour digits on the display will begin to flash.
- Press the HOUR button repeatedly to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator.
- Press the MINUTE button repeatedly to adjust the minutes.
- Press the TIME SET button again to confirm the time.
Operating Instructions
Radio Operation (AM/FM)
- Press the FUNCTION button to select either FM or AM radio mode.
- Extend the FM wire antenna for better FM reception. For AM, rotate the unit for optimal reception.
- Use the TUNING knob or TUNE +/- buttons to manually tune to your desired station.
- Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob.
CD Player Operation
- Open the CD compartment door located on top of the unit.
- Place a CD with the label side facing up into the compartment. Close the door securely.
- Press the FUNCTION button to select CD mode. The CD will begin to play automatically.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause or resume playback.
- Press the STOP button to stop playback.
- Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons (◀◀ / ▶▶) to skip tracks or search within a track.
- Programming Tracks: While in STOP mode, press the PROGRAM button. Select desired tracks using the SKIP/SEARCH buttons and press PROGRAM again to confirm each track. Up to 20 tracks can be programmed. Press PLAY to start programmed playback.
Setting Alarms (Dual Alarm)
The D715 features two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2).
- Press and hold the ALARM 1 SET or ALARM 2 SET button. The hour digits for that alarm will flash.
- Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired alarm time.
- Press the ALARM SET button again to confirm the time.
- Immediately after setting the time, press the ALARM MODE button (or similar, refer to unit's specific button) to cycle through wake options: Buzzer, Radio, or CD.
- To activate/deactivate an alarm, press the respective ALARM ON/OFF button. An indicator will appear on the display when an alarm is active.
- To temporarily silence an alarm, press the SNOOZE button. The alarm will sound again after approximately 9 minutes.
- To turn off an alarm completely, press the ALARM ON/OFF button for the active alarm.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
CD Player Care
Keep the CD compartment clean and free of dust. Avoid touching the CD lens. If the lens requires cleaning, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc.
Troubleshooting
