Setup

1. Charging the Battery

2. Inserting a Memory Card

3. Initial Power On

Operating the Camera

1. Taking Still Photos

To take a photo, aim the camera at your subject and press the shutter release button halfway to focus, then press it fully to capture the image. The camera features a 3.2-megapixel sensor and a 3x optical zoom lens. Use the zoom controls to adjust the focal length.

2. Using Shooting Modes

The camera offers 'Automatic' and 'Easy' shooting modes. In 'Best Shot' mode, you can select a stored photo that resembles the desired outcome, and the camera will automatically configure settings to achieve a similar look.

3. Recording Movies

The Exilim EX-Z3 can record AVI movie clips at a resolution of 320x240 pixels, up to 30 seconds in length. Switch to movie mode and press the record button to start and stop recording.

4. Viewing Images and Videos

Press the 'PLAY' button to enter playback mode. Use the directional pad to navigate through your photos and videos. The 2.0-inch TFT LCD monitor provides a clear display. The calendar screen displays thumbnails of the first image recorded on each date, aiding in quick image location.

5. Connecting to a Computer

To transfer images and videos, connect the camera to your computer using the supplied USB cable and cradle. The camera is compatible with both Mac and PC systems. The 'USB' indicator on the cradle will show connection status.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Camera
