4.2 Aperture Settings

This lens offers a wide aperture range from f/1.8 to f/22.

  • A wider aperture (e.g., f/1.8) allows more light into the camera, ideal for low-light conditions and creating a shallow depth of field.
  • A narrower aperture (e.g., f/22) allows less light, suitable for bright conditions and achieving a greater depth of field.

4.3 Minimum Focusing Distance

The minimum focusing distance for this lens is approximately 0.45 meters (1.5 feet). Ensure your subject is at least this distance from the lens for proper focus.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, clean lens cloth or a lens brush to remove dust. For smudges or fingerprints, use a specialized lens cleaning solution applied to a lens cloth, not directly to the lens surface.
  • Storage: When not in use, always attach both the front and rear lens caps. Store the lens in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid storing it in areas with high humidity to prevent mold growth.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping or subjecting the lens to strong impacts. Do not touch the lens elements with your fingers.
