Setup Instructions

  1. Place the ParaSpa unit on a flat, sturdy, heat-resistant surface.
  2. Remove the lid and place it aside.
  3. Ensure the removable grate is at the bottom of the tub.
  4. Open the bags of paraffin wax and break the wax into smaller pieces if necessary. Place the wax into the tub. The unit requires a minimum of 4 lbs of wax to cover the heating elements. The unit can hold up to 6 lbs of wax.
  5. A person adding a bag of HoMedics paraffin wax into the HoMedics ParaSpa Deluxe Paraffin Bath.

This image illustrates the process of adding the included paraffin wax into the main basin of the HoMedics ParaSpa Deluxe Paraffin Bath. The unit is white with a control dial visible on the front.

  6. Plug the unit into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The red "Power" indicator light will illuminate.
  7. Turn the control dial to the "Hot" setting. The green "Heater On" indicator light will illuminate.
  8. Allow approximately 2-2.5 hours for the wax to melt completely. The green "Heater On" light will turn off once the wax reaches the maximum temperature.
  9. Once the wax is melted, turn the control dial to the "Low" or "Med" setting for a comfortable temperature. Wait approximately 15-20 minutes for the wax to cool to a safe and comfortable temperature for dipping.
  10. Before dipping, test the wax temperature on a small area of your wrist to ensure it is comfortable and not too hot.

Operating Instructions

  1. Wash the area to be treated (hands, elbows, or feet) thoroughly and dry completely.
  2. Slowly immerse the area into the melted paraffin wax. Remove immediately. Wait a few seconds for the wax to solidify.
  3. Repeat this dipping process 3-5 times, allowing each layer to harden slightly before re-dipping. This builds up a thick wax layer.
  4. For extended heat therapy, place a plastic liner (provided) over the waxed area. This helps retain heat and moisture.
  5. Allow the wax to remain on the skin for 10-20 minutes.
  6. To remove the wax, peel it off the skin. The wax should come off easily. Discard the used wax. Do not reuse wax that has been removed from the skin.
  7. After treatment, apply a moisturizer to the treated area if desired.

Note: Always ensure the wax is at a comfortable temperature before dipping. Never leave the unit unattended while operating.
