Setup

Attaching the Lens

1. Remove the rear lens cap from the lens and the body cap from your camera.
2. Align the mounting index mark on the lens with the corresponding mark on your camera body.
3. Insert the lens into the camera mount and turn it clockwise (for Nikon F-mount) until it clicks into place. Do not force the lens.

Removing the Lens

1. Turn off your camera.
2. While pressing the lens release button on the camera body, turn the lens counter-clockwise until it detaches.
3. Immediately attach the rear lens cap to the lens and the body cap to the camera to protect them from dust.

Attaching the Lens Hood (if applicable)

Align the lens hood with the front of the lens and twist it until it locks securely. The lens hood helps to prevent flare and protects the front element.

Operating the Lens

Focusing

• Autofocus (AF): Set your camera's focus mode to AF. The lens will automatically focus when the shutter button is half-pressed.
• Manual Focus (MF): Set your camera's focus mode to MF. Rotate the focus ring on the lens until your subject appears sharp in the viewfinder or on the LCD screen.

Zooming

Rotate the zoom ring to adjust the focal length between 28mm (wide-angle) and 80mm (telephoto). The current focal length is indicated by the markings on the lens barrel.

Using the Macro Function

To engage the macro function, slide the "NORMAL/MACRO" switch to the "MACRO" position. This allows for closer focusing distances and higher magnification, ideal for close-up photography.
