Setup and Extension
Before each use, inspect the ladder for any damage or loose components. Ensure all parts are clean and free of debris.
Extending the Ladder:
- Place the ladder on a firm, level surface, ensuring the feet are stable.
- Grasp the rope and pulley system.
- Pull the rope to raise the fly section (upper section) to the desired height. The spring-loaded locks will engage automatically as the fly section passes each rung.
- Ensure both locks are fully engaged on the rungs before climbing. The ALFLO rung joint design ensures smooth operation and prevents twisting.

Operating Instructions
Safe Ladder Placement:
- Position the ladder at a 75.5-degree angle from the horizontal for optimal stability. For every four feet of ladder height, the base should be one foot away from the wall.
- Ensure the ladder feet are on a stable, non-slippery surface. The Shu-Lok feature allows the durable shoes to rest flat or be held in a spur position for soft ground.
- Extend the ladder at least three feet above the support point when accessing a roof or elevated platform.

Climbing and Working:
- Always face the ladder when ascending or descending.
- Maintain three points of contact (two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand) at all times.
- Keep your body centered between the side rails. Do not overreach.
- The Traction-Tred D-rungs are slip-resistant for a secure footing.
