Thank you for purchasing the DeepScan. This quick user guide will walk you through the basic setup and operation of the DeepScan wireless diagnostic dongle. For the best user experience, carefully read and follow all the instructions and warnings.

Download & Install the APP

Search for “DeepScan OBD2 Scanner” in the App Store or Google Play to download and install.

Register & Log In

Open the APP and log in to your account. (If you do not have an account, please register with your email.)

Bind the VCIAMPBANK-Diagnostic-Tools-DeepScan-Max- (3)

Tap Me > VCI Management > Add VCI.

  • To get the serial number and activation code, please scan the QR code on the product. (Alternatively, once the Bluetooth connection between the
  • DeepScan and your phone is established, the serial number and activation code will be automatically recognized.) Then, tap Activate.

Download the Diagnostic Software

You will need to download the vehicle-specific software the first time you use the diagnostic function. Tap Diagnostics on the home screen and download the software you need.

Plug the DeepScan into the vehicle’s OBD-II port.

The vehicle’s OBD-II port is usually located under the dashboard.

Turn the ignition to the “ON” position.

The green LED light on the DeepScan indicates it is powered on.

Bluetooth Connection

Tap Diagnostics on the home screen, then tap AMPBANK-Diagnostic-Tools-DeepScan-Max- (8) at the top right of the screen to establish a Bluetooth connection with the unit. When connection is established, the LED light on the unit will turn solid blue.

Your DeepScan is now ready for use.

What should I do if a communication error occurs?

Follow the steps below to identify the problem: Check if the ignition is ON. Check if the DeepScan is securely plugged into the vehicle's OBD-II port. Turn the ignition off. Then, turn it on after 10 seconds and continue the operation. Check if the vehicle's control module is defective.

Why do I need to download the diagnostic software after installing the DeepScan OBD2 Scanner?

Since there are various vehicle manufacturers, different diagnostic software is required for different brands.

What special functions does the DeepScan support?

The DeepScan supports 13 special functions, including Oil Reset, Throttle Adaptation, EPB Reset, ABS Bleeding, Steering Angle Reset, DPF Regeneration, Airbag Reset, BMS Reset, Injector Coding, Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS Reset , Sunroof Initialization, Seat Calibration, and Window Calibration.

Do I need to update the firmware before using it for the first time?

Yes. Firmware will automatically update to the latest version once the DeepScan is connected with your phone via Bluetooth. You can also tap Me > Firmware Update to update the firmware manually.
