F3D100 All-in-one Access Control Device
Installation Prerequisite
Installation to be performed only by certiÞed installer!
Power Sourcing Requirement: PoE+ (802.3at Type 2) 30W!
Unit to be powered by UL294B certiÞed IEEE PoE+ 802.3at Type 2 Power Sourcing Equipment using unshielded cat5e or better cable with a maximum cable length of
330 feet (100 meters)!
A ULC 60839-11-1 Listed power supply with appropriate grade is required to be provided for ULC installations!
Wiegand/OSDP Badge Reader max cable length: 5 ft – 22 AWG (1.5 m)!
Wiegand Panel max cable length: 500 ft – 22 AWG (152 m), 300 ft – 24 AWG (91 m)
OSDP Panel max cable length: 4000 ft – 24 AWG (1,219 m),
Connect Directly to an Electric Lock
Fail Safe Lock
There is normally a current ßowing through the relay on the Fail-Safe lock. When the relay is activated, the current ßown is blocked, and the door lock will open. If the power supply is cut o” due to a power failure or an external factor, the door will remain open.
Connect the two NC wires together to the + wire on the lock. !
Connect the two COM (Brown/Red) wires to the + wire on the power source.!
Connect the – negative wire from the power source to the – negative on the lock.!
Each wire supports up to 1A, and connecting together will allow for up to 2A current to ßow.
Fail Secure Lock
There is no current ßowing through the relay on the Fail Secure lock. When the relay is activated, the current ßow is opened, and the door lock will open. If the power supply is cut o” due to a power failure or an external factor, the door will remain closed.
Connect the two NO wires together to the + wire on the lock. !
Connect the two COM (Brown/Red) wires to the + on the power source.!
Connect the – wire from the power source to the – on the lock.!
Each wire supports up to 1A, and connecting together will allow for up to 2A current to ßow.
Connect Power over Ethernet Cable (PoE)
The F3D100 uses 802.3at (PoE+).!
Connect a Cat5/6 ethernet cable to the RJ45 located on the pigtail of the F3D100.!
To setup a network connection use the Velocity setup app.!
