Installation Procedures
Easy Dismounting with Plastic DIN Rail Clip
Follow these steps for easy removal from a DIN rail:
- Step 1: Ensure the RCBO is in the 'OFF' position. Locate the plastic clip at the bottom of the device.
- Step 2: Push the clip downwards to release the locking mechanism.
- Step 3: Gently pull the RCBO away from the DIN rail.
Locking Device for Handle MZN175
To secure the RCBO handle, use the MZN175 locking device. This is suitable for DIN rail mounting and Invicta panel boards (excluding the UK market).
Installation: Insert the locking device into the handle mechanism and secure it, typically with a screw (e.g., diameter 3.5 mm, maximum 6 mm length).
Testing Procedures
Regular Operation Test
It is recommended to test the RCBO regularly to ensure it trips correctly. Operate the test button (labeled 'T' or similar) and verify that the RCBO trips. The device should indicate an 'OFF' state.
Insulation Resistance (IR) Test
An insulation resistance test can be performed without disconnecting the RCBO. With the device in the 'OFF' position, connect the IR tester to the top terminals of the product.
Guidance Notes
EVCS (Electric Vehicle Charging Station) Guidance
For applications supplying a 7.5 kWh car charger using an ADC932R 32 A RCBO, a 10 mm² cable must be used for the connection from the RCBO to the vehicle charge point. This installation is only permitted in a 6-way or larger enclosure.
Guidance for 100 A Dual RCCB Flush Consumer Units
The ADC932R 32A RCBO has not been verified for continuous loading of a 7.5 kWh car charger within certain Flush 100A Dual RCCB consumer units. Therefore, it MUST NOT be used in such configurations.
