1. Introduction
The KERUI D022 Wireless Door/Window Sensor is a crucial component for enhancing the security of your home or office. This magnetic sensor is designed to detect the opening of doors, windows, drawers, cabinets, and other entry points. When triggered, it sends a wireless signal to your compatible KERUI alarm system (such as W18, W20, K52, W2 WIFI GSM alarm systems), initiating an immediate alert. Its compact design and easy installation make it an ideal solution for comprehensive security monitoring.
2. Safety Information
- Keep the device away from water and high humidity environments.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Refer to qualified personnel for service.
- Use only the specified battery type (12V 23A) for replacement.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
3. Package Contents
Depending on your purchase, the package typically includes:
- Wireless Door/Window Sensor (main unit)
- Magnetic Stripe (smaller unit)
- Adhesive Stickers for mounting
Note: The 12V 23A battery is NOT included and must be purchased separately.

5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly install your KERUI D022 Wireless Door/Window Sensor:
-
Battery Installation
Open the battery compartment of the main sensor unit. Insert one 12V 23A battery, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
-
Choosing an Installation Location
Identify a suitable location on a door, window, drawer, or cabinet. The sensor consists of two parts: the main unit (transmitter) and the magnetic stripe. These two parts must be installed parallel to each other.

Mounting the Sensor
Use the provided adhesive stickers to attach the main unit and the magnetic stripe. Ensure the following critical points:
- The main unit should be placed on the fixed frame (e.g., door frame, window frame).
- The magnetic stripe should be placed on the movable part (e.g., door, window).
- **Crucially, the distance between the main unit and the magnetic stripe must not exceed 1CM (0.39 inches) when the door/window is closed.**
- The magnetic stripe must be installed close to the side of the main unit that contains the indicator light.

Figure 5: Correct parallel installation of the sensor on a window frame, maintaining the critical 1CM gap when closed. -
Pairing with Alarm System
Refer to your KERUI alarm system's manual for specific instructions on how to pair a new wireless sensor. Typically, this involves putting the alarm host into a 'learning' or 'pairing' mode and then triggering the door sensor by separating its two parts.
6. Operating Instructions
The KERUI D022 sensor operates on a simple magnetic principle:
- When the main unit and magnetic stripe are close together (door/window closed), the magnetic field is complete, and the sensor is in a 'safe' state.
- When the door or window is opened, the magnetic stripe separates from the main unit. If the gap exceeds 1CM, the magnetic field is broken.
- Upon detection of the broken magnetic field, the sensor immediately transmits a 433MHZ wireless signal to the paired alarm host.
- The alarm host then processes this signal, typically triggering an audible alarm and sending notifications (depending on your alarm system's configuration).
7. Maintenance
-
Battery Replacement
The sensor features a low voltage indicator (the second red LED light on the main unit). When this light illuminates, it indicates that the 12V 23A battery needs to be replaced. To replace, open the battery compartment, remove the old battery, insert a new one with correct polarity, and close the compartment.
-
Cleaning
Wipe the sensor units periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
8. Troubleshooting
-
Sensor Not Triggering Alarm
Check the gap: Ensure the distance between the main unit and the magnetic stripe does not exceed 1CM when the door/window is opened. If the gap is too large, the magnetic field may not break effectively.
Check battery: Verify that the 12V 23A battery is correctly installed and not depleted. Replace if the low voltage indicator is on.
Check pairing: Confirm that the sensor is properly paired with your KERUI alarm system. Re-pair if necessary according to your alarm host's manual.
-
False Alarms
Check installation stability: Ensure both parts of the sensor are firmly attached and do not shift or vibrate, which could cause intermittent contact.
Environmental factors: Strong magnetic fields from other devices nearby could potentially interfere. Try relocating the sensor if possible.
-
No Signal to Alarm Host
Distance: The wireless transmission range is approximately 100m in open areas. Walls and other obstacles can significantly reduce this range. Ensure the sensor is within effective range of the alarm host.
Obstacles: Large metal objects or thick concrete walls between the sensor and the host can block the wireless signal.
9. User Tips
- Always use a fresh 12V 23A battery for optimal performance and longevity.
- When installing, double-check the 1CM maximum gap between the sensor and the magnetic stripe for reliable detection.
- The sensor communicates wirelessly via 433MHZ. Ensure your alarm system is compatible with this frequency.
- Consider testing the sensor after installation and periodically to ensure it's functioning correctly with your alarm system.
