1. Clearing Existing Codes
- Press and hold button 1 (top left) and button 2 (top right) simultaneously.
- Continue holding for approximately 2 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly.
- Release both buttons.
- Note: The LED light must continue flashing after you release your hand. If it does not flash for a long time, it indicates that the two buttons were not pressed simultaneously. Repeat the operation.
- After successful clearing, pressing any key on the remote control will cause the indicator light to flash briefly and then go out, confirming that the code clearing is successful.
2. Copying Remote Codes
- Ensure the M9 duplicator has been cleared of all previous codes (see 'Clearing Existing Codes' above).
- Place your original remote control and the M9 duplicator side-by-side, as close as possible.
- Press and hold the desired button on your original remote control.
- Simultaneously, press and hold the corresponding button on the M9 duplicator where you wish to store the code.
- Observe the LED display on the M9 duplicator. When the channel number on the display tube remains constantly lit, it indicates that the copy is successful.
- Release both buttons.
- Repeat this process for any remaining keys you wish to copy.
- Note: During the copying process, do not release the buttons on either remote control until the display tube number on the M9 duplicator is continuously lit.
3. Restoring Codes
If you accidentally clear the copied codes from your M9 remote control, you can restore them:
- Simultaneously press and hold the bottom two keys (the '+' and '-' buttons on the bottom row) of the M9 duplicator.
- Wait for approximately 2 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly.
- Release your hand.
- After recovery, pressing any key on the remote control will cause its indicator light to remain constantly on, confirming the codes have been restored.
4. Channel Locking
To prevent accidental changes to a copied channel, you can lock it:
- Press and hold the second button in the first row (the 'square' button) and the first button in the middle row (the '+' button) simultaneously.
- If the LED light flashes quickly, the channel is successfully locked.
- Once a channel is locked, it cannot be switched or overwritten.
- To cancel the lock, repeat the same procedure.
Maintenance
- Keep the device dry. Moisture can damage internal circuits.
- Avoid extreme temperatures. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices.
- Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can break internal circuit boards.
- Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or cleaning solvents.
- Charge the device regularly to maintain battery health, even if not in frequent use.
Troubleshooting
- Remote not copying: Ensure the original remote is a fixed code type and operates within the 300-980MHz frequency range. Verify that the clearing process was successful before attempting to copy. Make sure both remotes are very close during copying.
- Short operating distance: Check the battery level of the M9 duplicator. Ensure there are no significant obstructions between the duplicator and the receiver.
- LED not flashing during clearing/restoring: Ensure buttons are pressed simultaneously and held for the required duration. Repeat the process carefully.
- Incompatibility: This duplicator is designed for fixed code remotes. It may not be compatible with rolling code or encrypted remotes.
User Tips
- Check Compatibility: Before attempting to duplicate, always verify that your existing remote control uses a fixed code and operates within the 300-980MHz frequency range. For example, some users have inquired about compatibility with specific models like the ATX PTX5V2 Tricode remote for roller doors; please confirm your original remote's specifications.
- Optimal Copying Position: For best results during the copying process, position the M9 duplicator and the original remote control as close as possible, ideally touching, to ensure a strong signal transfer.
- Practice Clearing First: It's recommended to practice the code clearing procedure a few times to become familiar with the button presses and LED feedback before attempting to copy new codes.
