1. Introduction

The KaiAqua HY6 Mini Projector is a portable home cinema device featuring Android 9, dual-band WiFi (2.4G/5G), Bluetooth 5.0, and support for 4K/1080P video decoding. Designed for versatility, it offers a clear 1280x720P native resolution and a bright 200 ANSI Lumens LED light source, making it suitable for various entertainment and work scenarios.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Physical Placement

Position the projector on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the lens or around the ventilation areas. The optimal projection distance ranges from 0.8m to 4m, allowing for screen sizes from 25.5 inches to 150 inches.

3.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided power cable to the projector's power input port.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable power outlet (AC&DC compatible).

3.3 Initial Power On

Press the power button on the projector or the remote control to turn on the device. The projector will boot up, displaying the Android system interface.

3.4 Focus Adjustment

The KaiAqua HY6 features electric focusing. Thanks to its intelligent adaptive system, the projector automatically adjusts focus to achieve a clear image without manual intervention. When starting or moving the machine, the projected image becomes clear instantly.

3.5 Keystone Correction

The projector supports Manual Correction, Electronic Correction, and Auto Correction for keystone adjustment. This feature automatically corrects distorted images caused by angled projection, ensuring a perfectly rectangular picture.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Android System Navigation

The projector runs on Android 9, providing a smart TV-like experience. Use the included remote control to navigate the interface, launch applications, and adjust settings. The system is equipped with a HiSilicon 352Ai smart chip and 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM for smooth performance.

4.2 Wireless Screen Projection

The projector supports 2.4G/5G dual-band Wi-Fi for seamless wireless screen projection. You can cast content from your mobile phones, computers, and tablets to the projector, turning a small screen into a giant one.

4.3 Connecting External Devices

The HY6 projector offers rich interfaces for diverse expansion needs:

  • HDMI: Connect to laptops, gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, etc.
  • USB: Play media directly from USB drives.
  • 3.5mm Earphone Out: Connect external speakers or headphones.
  • AV: Connect older devices using the provided AV cable.

4.4 Bluetooth Connectivity

With Bluetooth 5.0, you can connect external Bluetooth speakers or headphones for an enhanced audio experience.

4.5 Audio Output

The projector features a built-in 5W speaker for clear audio. For a more immersive experience, connect external audio systems via the 3.5mm earphone out port or Bluetooth.

4.6 Streaming Content

The Android system allows access to popular streaming platforms and apps, providing a wide range of movies, TV series, games, and more.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Lens

Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe the projector lens. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could scratch or damage the lens coating.

5.2 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the projector with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water, then wipe dry immediately. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

5.3 Ventilation

Ensure the projector's ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating. Do not block the vents during operation.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the projector and the power outlet. Ensure the power outlet is functional.
  • No Image: Verify that the correct input source is selected (HDMI, USB, etc.). Check all cable connections.
  • Blurred Image: The projector features electric focus. If the image is still blurry, try moving the projector slightly or restarting it to trigger auto-focus.
  • No Sound: Ensure the volume is not muted or set too low. Check external audio connections if applicable. If using Bluetooth, ensure the device is properly paired.
  • Wireless Projection Issues: Ensure both the projector and the casting device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (2.4G or 5G). Restart both devices if connection problems persist.
  • Remote Control Not Working: Check the batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the projector's IR receiver.
