  6. Battery Connection:

Connect your 48V battery pack (not included) to the controller's battery input. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). Secure the battery pack to the tricycle frame.

  7. Final Check:

Double-check all connections for tightness and correct wiring. Ensure no wires are pinched or exposed. Test the system in a safe, open area before full use.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On:

Turn the key (if applicable) or press the power button to activate the system. The LED display on the throttle should light up, indicating the current voltage and battery level.

  2. Throttle Control:

Gently twist the throttle to engage the motor. The motor will provide assistance, propelling the tricycle forward. Increase or decrease throttle input to control speed.

  3. Braking:

Apply the brake levers to slow down or stop. The brake levers are designed to cut off power to the motor when engaged, ensuring safe stopping.

  4. LED Headlight:

Use the headlight switch (if provided) to turn the LED headlight on or off for improved visibility during low-light conditions.

  5. Battery Monitoring:

Continuously monitor the battery level displayed on the throttle. A lower voltage indicates a lower battery charge. Recharge the battery promptly when the level is low to avoid unexpected power loss.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your electric tricycle conversion kit.

  • Cleaning: Keep the motor, controller, and other components clean and free from dirt, dust, and moisture. Use a damp cloth for cleaning; avoid direct water spray.
  • Battery Care:
    • Always use a compatible charger for your battery.
    • Do not overcharge or completely discharge the battery.
    • Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use.
    • Disconnect the battery when performing maintenance or storing the tricycle for extended periods.
  • Chain Lubrication: Regularly lubricate the drive chain to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
  • Connection Checks: Periodically inspect all electrical connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion. Ensure all wires are properly insulated.
  • Brake Inspection: Check brake levers and cables for proper function and adjustment.
  • General Inspection: Regularly check all mounting bolts and fasteners to ensure they are secure.
