4. Safety Precautions

Please read and understand all safety instructions before using the WINBOT MINI2 to prevent injury or damage.

4.1 Before Use

  • Environmental Conditions: Do not use the robot in high humidity, on surfaces with oil stains, or in extremely cold (below 0°C) or extremely hot (above 40°C) environments. These conditions can impair performance and safety.
  • Glass Suitability: The robot is not recommended for glass that is too small or has a special, uneven shape (e.g., decorations, gaps, curved surfaces). It may not be able to spread effectively or maintain sufficient air pressure. Large square glass surfaces generally yield better cleaning results.
  • Obstacles and Frames: Avoid using on glass with obstacles less than 4mm high, or window bezels/frames less than 3mm high. The robot may not detect these and could get stuck or fall.
  • Large Outer Windows: For outer window glass larger than 3m in length or 2.5m in width, the robot's operation may be limited by the length of its power cable.
  • Safety Lock: Always ensure the safety lock is securely bound to a fixed object (e.g., table leg, chair leg, bed leg, sofa leg, curtain rod, stair handrail) to prevent the robot from falling. The safety lock assembly is pre-installed and should not be removed.
  • Clear Area Below: During operation, ensure no people or animals are directly below the cleaning area to prevent injury in case of a fall.

4.2 Power Connection Safety

  • Do not disconnect the power supply while the robot is running, as this poses a risk of falling.
  • Ensure the aviation plug is connected firmly.
  • Connect the power cord, adapter, and plug in the correct sequence as shown in the setup instructions. Improper connection can lead to abnormal charging or battery damage.

4.3 Cleaning Fluid Safety

  • Use only the special cleaning liquid provided or recommended by ECOVACS. Using non-special cleaning liquid may result in poor cleaning or product damage.
  • The maximum capacity of the water tank is 60ml. Do not overfill.
  • Do not inject purified or filtered water. Tap water can be used temporarily if the special cleaning liquid runs out, but the special liquid offers better cleaning.
  • Never insert your finger into the cleaning liquid injection port.

5. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to prepare your WINBOT MINI2 for operation:

5.1 Install Window Cleaning Cloth

  1. Wet the window cleaning cloth thoroughly with water and wring it out as much as possible to remove excess water.
  2. Align the wide and narrow sides of the cleaning cloth with the corresponding wide and narrow sides of the window cloth bracket Velcro at the bottom of the machine.
  3. Ensure the groove of the window cloth corresponds to the blue logo at the bottom of the window treasure.
  4. Press the cloth flat with your hand to ensure it sticks firmly to the Velcro.

5.2 Inject Cleaning Fluid

  1. Open the water injection port.
  2. Carefully add the special ECOVACS cleaning liquid to the water tank. The maximum capacity is approximately 60ml. Do not overfill.
  3. Close the water injection port securely.

5.3 Secure Safety Lock

  1. Tie the safety rope securely to a stable object that is not easily moved, such as a table leg, chair leg, bed leg, sofa leg, curtain rod, or stair handrail.
  2. Ensure the safety lock is properly engaged.

5.4 Connect Power

  1. Ensure the robot's internal battery is fully charged before first use. Charging time is approximately 3 hours.
  2. Connect the power cord to the adapter.
  3. Connect the adapter to the robot's power input.
  4. Plug the adapter into a power outlet. Ensure all connections are firm, especially the aviation plug.

6. Operation

Operating your WINBOT MINI2 is straightforward:

6.1 Start Cleaning

  1. Connect the power supply as described in Section 5.4.
  2. Press and hold the Window Treasure start button for 2 seconds.
  3. Once you hear the fan start, place the bottom of the window treasure (the side with the cleaning cloth) onto the glass surface. The robot will automatically adsorb to the glass and begin cleaning.

Important Considerations:

  • When cleaning frameless glass, the adsorption position should be at least 10cm away from the edge.
  • The robot is designed for pure surfaces. Ensure the glass thickness is not less than 3mm.
  • Do not place the fan close to small objects or hair after starting, as this can block the fan.
  • Before cleaning, check for fine particles at the adsorption location. Remove or replace them if found to prevent scratching the glass.

6.2 Midway Cleaning and Maintenance

For heavily soiled glass, it is recommended to replace the window cleaning cloth multiple times during the cleaning cycle. Also, clean the four ball sensors at the bottom of the robot regularly to ensure optimal cleaning performance.

6.3 End the Job

  1. During operation, you can short press the Window Treasure button or use the App to pause the cleaning process.
  2. After cleaning is complete, the robot will return to its starting position and emit a prompt tone.
  3. Firmly hold the robot's handle and press the start button for 2 seconds or more until the fan stops working.
  4. Carefully remove the robot from the glass.
  5. Pour out any remaining cleaning liquid from the tank.

6.4 Shutdown

To completely shut down the robot, disconnect the power supply.

6.5 High-End Functions (APP Control)

Enhance your WINBOT MINI2 experience by using the dedicated mobile application:

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your WINBOT MINI2.

7.1 Window Cleaning Cloth

  • Replacement: Remove the dirty window cloth and attach a new one, ensuring it is properly aligned and firmly pressed onto the Velcro.
  • Cleaning: Remove the window cloth, wash it with water, and wring it out thoroughly. Replace the cloth if it is damaged or no longer adheres well to the Velcro.
  • Velcro Care: If the Velcro on the window cloth bracket becomes dusty, clean it with a clean cleaning brush. Do not wash the bottom of the machine with water to prevent damage.

7.2 Clean Driver Wheel Crawler

  1. Ensure the fan is not working before cleaning.
  2. Use the ecovacshome app's remote control function to inspect the drive wheel track for dirt.
  3. If dirt is found, suspend the robot and carefully wipe the track clean with a dust removal cloth.
  4. After cleaning, you can reinstall the window cleaning cloth and resume operation.

7.3 Bottom Assembly Cleaning

  • Fan: Wipe the fan clean with a dry rag to maintain its suction power.
  • Ball Sensor: Wipe the ball sensors with a dry rag to maintain their sensitivity.
  • Guide Wheel: Wipe the guide wheels with a dry rag to maintain their sensitivity.

7.4 Battery Care

  • When the robot emits a low battery alarm, fully charge it before further use or storage to prolong battery life.
  • If storing the robot for an extended period, turn it off after fully charging.
  • Recharge the battery at least every six months to prevent over-discharge damage.
