3.1. Door Opening Direction Adjustment

Before installation, check the actual door opening direction. If the lock's handle direction does not match, a reversal is required for both the front and rear panels.

  1. For the Front Panel:
    1. Unscrew the reversing screw on the front panel.
    2. Turn the handle to the desired opening direction.
    3. Put the reversing screw back and tighten it.
  2. For the Rear Panel:
    1. Unscrew the reversing screw on the rear panel.
    2. Turn the handle to the desired opening direction.
    3. Put the reversing screw back and tighten it.

Important: When installing the rear lock, the arrow marking and handle should be in the opposite direction to the front lock's handle.

3.2. Installing Pads and Solenoid

  1. Install the Front Locking Rubber Pad onto the front panel.
  2. Mount the solenoid into the front panel and tighten it with pliers.
  3. Fit the Rear Locking Spacer with its corresponding rubber pad.

Example of measuring a mortise lock, highlighting that the 24*160 (45xx) size is not important.

Figure 3: Mortise Lock Measurement Example

Measure your old mortise lock's three key data points (door thickness, width of strike plate, length of strike plate) to select the corresponding size. The lock supports various mortise sizes like 240x22 (6085), 240x22 (5085), 240x22 (4585), 240x22 (4085), 240x22 (3585), 240x22 (3085), SG-270x22 (3585), SG-270x22 (2885), 240x22 (7085).

3.4. Installing the Lock Body and Panels

  1. Insert the lock body into the door.
  2. Secure the lock body with fasteners using a drill.
  3. Run the power wire through the door hole from the front panel.
  4. Insert the square rod into the front panel, aligning it with the round hole position.
  5. Align the holes and insert the cotter pin. Fold the cotter pin with pliers to ensure it does not get stuck.
  6. Install the square bar 5mm above the door surface. If it is too long, cut it (tolerance less than 2mm).
  7. Pass the power cord through the cross-holes of the adhesive pad.
  8. Adjust the alignment of the rear panel spacer and the front panel.
  9. Connect the power cables for the front and rear locks.
  10. Plug the connected power cord into the door hole.
  11. Align the square rod holes to fit the rear lock.
  12. Secure the rear panel with fasteners using a drill.
