4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Important Wiring Notice

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLATION:

  1. Strict Voltage Limit: The Maximum Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) of your solar panel array must be LESS THAN 60V. Exceeding this voltage will damage the controller.

    • Do NOT connect panels in series (string) if the total voltage exceeds 60V.
    • Recommended: Connect panels in PARALLEL to increase current while keeping voltage safe.
  2. Connection Order: Follow this sequence precisely to avoid damage to the controller or battery.

    1. Step 1: Connect the Battery to the controller first. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). The controller's screen will turn on.
    2. Step 2: Connect the Solar Panel to the controller second. Ensure correct polarity.
    3. Step 3: Connect the DC Load (if applicable) to the controller third. Ensure correct polarity.

    Reverse the order when uninstalling: Disconnect Load, then Solar Panel, then Battery.

5.1 LCD Display and Button Operation

  • Easy Button Operation: Use the buttons below the LCD to navigate through menus and adjust settings. A long press (hold for 3 seconds) on the 'Set' button typically allows entering or exiting setting modes.

5.2 Battery Type Selection and Parameter Adjustment

Q: Does it work with 24V batteries?
A: Yes. It automatically detects 12V or 24V systems upon connection. Note: For 24V systems, ensure your solar panel voltage is within the 30V-55V range.
Q: Why does it have a fan?
A: The fan actively removes heat, allowing the controller to run at full 30A power without overheating. This design enhances durability, especially in hot climates.
Q: Can I charge a completely dead lithium battery?
